As already said, there aren't online records for relatively recent travel or immigration. |

On the Ellis Island website, there is a Manuel Adrio listed. He was born c 1900, was a US citizen and listed Havana, Cuba as his last place of residence. He was in transit to Cadiz, Spain. |

Sorry for the delay thank you so much . On the wedding certificate Jose's father was Manuel Adrio a retired policeman How do I find out if it was the English police force please?. Yesterday I found a 1910 Spanish census which named a Adrio family in Lugo in Spain with a Jose & Manuel Adrio listed. Jose M was repatriated to Cuba and arrived in Ellis Island USA. I have also been told that General Franco destroyed thousands of documents during his time . That is all so far |

Exactly Shirley. It's were *you* lived, not necessarily were the person died. Although we know he didn't, he could have died while on holiday in Leeds. You'd have still used the Brighton (Sussex) office which is closest to where *you* live rather than the Leeds one 100s of miles away. |

Here's a list of Probate Registries. As you can see, there aren't that many of them. Probate can be dealt with by any regardless of were the person died. It often depends on where the solicitor, if used, is located as they tend to use their local one. An executor would rather use a local solicitor than one close to the deceased's home. |

Her will may have be proved at Brighton but that doesn't mean she died there |
