	Hi Jan, the area is Dorset/Hampshire sort of area, possibly Berkshire too maybe. And Daisy told her children the names of her parents Frank and Alice and just always known it to be that and the rest of the family agree that's how they know this - maybe they have the birth certificate, one of them but not sure who exactly. I'm a tad lost at the idea Alice was Ellen but no one ever said family history was easy ;)

	Hmm interesting... As far as I'm concerned and the family, it was definitely Alice. I wonder if either she had a nickname or Daisy West changed a few details.. Odd! She was a very genuine, nice lady though so I can't imagine her lying about it or anything. However your information looks good and other than Ellen/Alice it definitely makes sense and adds up, Thank you!!
