I've traced this family back to 1881 and up to 1911 on the census records. 1901 and 1911 Census says Patrick Conboy was born in Roscommon!
Has anyone got the marriage certificate of Patrick Conboy and his wife Anne to see if his father was Patrick Conboy, a Coachman too?

Yes that's a Transcription error on the 1911 Census it should be Ann Conboy Married for 38 years not 30. I've submitted a correction of the error on Ancestry.

Looking at 'public' family trees on Ancestry, it makes me wonder if people bother to buy BDM's to confirm their findings.

(probably best to steer clear of other 'Trees', the age old topic, of copying, sadly all too common, mostly name collectors, wanting to go back to year dot, and complete family history in 5 minutes, lol, without any proper evidence!. Not the way to go, and so much missed, not too mention the 'buzz' of finding, and seeing info. for real!. It's either done as a hobby properly (which takes years, and never ends!) or just because it's the 'in fad'. All too common now, depends if they want their 'Tree' about quality, or quantity!. Steady and slow, is the way to go)

Yes Chris, It takes years and patience to trace a family tree correctly , the Irish in particular. I've been at it since 1991 and still finding new information.
"Steady and slow is the way to go" should be a motto for anyone tracing their family tree!. :-)
