	so are you thinking that James Alexander's real name was Alexander John? 2 Alexander John Camerons were born in 1943, none in 1944 given his rather chequered history ... anything is possible really you need to get the Annie Dawson + Alexander Cameron marriage too, for their parents' names, to begin finding family in censuses because Annie Brown Dawson and Alexander John Cameron who married 1936 were likely born after 1901 and even after 1911 (1911 census is available only at scotlandspeople on pay per view)

	here is Detail's thread on 'living relatives' about the Canadian family of John's and Agnes's son http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards/board/26/thread/1359801 it seemed reasonable to have a different thread about son James's ancestors Detail, you need to go to http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and find the marriage and view a copy of the marriage certificate - I think it can be viewed on line, not sure of the rules you have to buy credits there - the marriage certificate will cost 5 credits to view these are the details 1936 CAMERON ALEXANDER JOHN CUNNINGHAM AGNES ST GILES EDINBURGH CITY/MIDLOTHIAN 685/04 0419 the marriage certificate will have their parents' names on it and you need that info to proceed further once you have that, you can possibly use censuses to trace back but with Cameron being such a common name you may need to get more certificates
