Just found something else with a wedding photo!
Educated guess says that Alexander John Cameron who married Agnes Cunningham had a brother named Willliam Dawson Cameron. ( Mother's maiden name was Dawson)
Dundee Courier : MONDAY 24 Dec 1934 PERTH MAN WEDS The wedding took place at The Church Of John The Evangelist Edinburgh on Saturday of Mr William Dawson Cameron, son of the late Mr & Mrs AJ Cameron of Beechwood, Perth and Miss Evelyn Anne Hume of Edinburgh. Photo shows the bridal party.
If and it's a big if without looking at this marriage cert.... If William's brother Alexander John happened to be his brother's best man, then he is in the photo.
There is also a Forthcoming Marriage announcement in The Scotsman dated 24 Nov 1934. Evelyne Anne Hume was the daughter of AR Hume 17 Buckingham Terr, Edinburgh
There are a number of articles in various newspapers prior to 1934 relating to AJ Cameron who I think was the father. If I've got the right man, he was a Cabinetmaker. AJ & D Cameron .
I also picked up that AJ Cameron (junr) had 1000 shares in The Oban Distillery Co His address matched with William's address on the marriage announcement. Need to recheck but I'm sure it was dated 1924

Ooh, interesting! I wonder why he changed his name?
As the 1901 census posted by Rootgatherer on page 1 is definitely the family, this will be James in 1891:
Jas Cunningham in the 1891 Scotland Census Name: Jas Cunningham Age: 17 Estimated birth year: abt 1874 Relationship: Son Father's name: David Cunningham Mother's name: Elizabeth Cunningham Gender: Male Where born: Greenock, Renfrewshire Registration Number: 644/12 Registration district: Gorbals Civil Parish: Glasgow Govan County: Lanarkshire Address: 121 Govan St Occupation: Fishing Rod maker Ap ED: 61 Household schedule number: 54 LINE: 19 Roll: CSSCT1891_292 Household Members: Name Age David Cunningham 32 - tailor, born Kirkcaldy Elizabeth Cunningham 41 - born Rothesay Jas Cunningham 17 Bessie Cunningham 16 Lucy Cunningham 8 Joseph Cunningham 7 David Cunningham 4
Maybe a second marriage for his mother, and James was adopted by his stepfather? Will have a look.

we are hoping that trying to build a family tree for her will shed some light on more family for her and to try find these ones in Canada, but as they don't know about sue. but I would think that they would want to know about their father or maybe not I cant be the judge of that one.
thank you so much

Re Isabel Brown Dawson -
The marriage of Alexander John (senior) and Isabella gives her middle name as Chisholm, not Brown (unless maybe Brown is another middle name which would show up on the image):
1897 CAMERON ALEXANDER JOHN DAWSON ISABELLA CHISHOLM PERTH /PERTH 387/00 0176
If that's the case, then the DOB on 1901 census is out by 3-4 years.
Isabella Chisholm Dawson in the Scotland, Select Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950 Name: Isabella Chisholm Dawson Gender: Female Birth Date: 10 Jun 1873 Birth Place: Perth,Perth,Scotland Father: Joseph Allan Dawson Mother: Isabella Chisholm FHL Film Number: 6035516

However, the "Brown" seems to come from Isabella Chisholm Dawson's mother:

phew!!! ArgyllGran.
So for starters, *Isabel* not *Annie* Brown Dawson was the mother of Alexander John Cameron who married in 1936.
I wonder who Isabel Brown Black/Blaik was ... a married sister of Alexander, named for her mother?

Out of sheer frustration at the lack of clarity in the information given by Detail and Sue, I've had a look at the 1936 marriage myself :-
27th April 1936, at 34 Chambers Street, Edinburgh, Alexander John Cameron, 37, distillery manager, widower, usual address Glenquaich, Oban [oh, that's interesting - I live near Oban, and know that house and the distillery!] married Agnes Cunningham, boarding house proprietrix, spinster, 30, usual address Crescent Boarding House, 1 Victoria Crescent, Oban.
[1 Victoria Cres nowadays houses a 4-star hostel, with pub in basement.]
Alexander's parents: Alexander John Cameron, company director, deceased. ISABEL Brown Cameron, ms Dawson, deceased
Agnes's parents: James Cunningham, contractor & coal merchant. Agnes Cunningham, ms Hunter.
Made in Declaration in presence of Tom Mawson Waters, 21 Meadow Place road, Corstorphine, Edinburgh, and Isabel Brown Black [or possibly Blaik], 31 Kaimes Road, Edinburgh.
Not a church wedding. An "irregular marriage" - simply declaring in front of witnesses. Abolished in 1940. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marriage_in_Scotland

Detail you said that Alexander John Cameron and Agnes Cunningham were
PARENTS TO ALEXANDER JOHN CAMERON
but it is **James Alexander Cameron** their son whose children in Canada you are looking for ??
who is Alexander John Cameron? did you mean James Alexander Cameron?
WAIT, I see what you were saying - I misread it (because you were not clear!) - you were saying that Alexander John Cameron married Agnes Cunningham, and HIS parents were Alexander John Cameron and Annie Brown Dawson
(not - that he and Agnes were the parents of Alexander John Cameron)
sorted now
in any case ... to trace Sue's paternal grandparents' ancestry ...
you still need to see the marriage certificate of Alexander John Cameron and Annie Brown Dawson - to get their own parents' names
... well, except that scotlandspeople shows no marriage for the names Alexander Cameron and Ann or Annie Dawson ...
rather than rely on Sue's info about her great-grandparents' names (the parents of Alexander John Cameron who married Agnes Cunningham), she should view the actual 1936 marriage certificate to see what it says
... or ... is that where you got the names?
Detail please try to give as clear info as possible ... the sources of info and exactly what they say
if you have seen the 1936 marriage certificate, does it give the bride's and groom's ages?
