Have been looking for George James DAVIES / DAVIS on the 1871 Census for years. He was living at 28 Rockingham Street, Surrey, UK in 1879 when he married Fanny Clapp. His father George was deceased in 1879 on the marriage certificate. It was witnessed by Sarah and Harry woods. I don't know if these were related or friends. George was born about 1848 in London and was a stonemason and Coroner's office worker. He died in 1892 in London. Trying to find out more about his family and siblings. Any suggestions or leads much appreciated! |
