I've searched the BNA, I can't see anything relating in the Glasgow Herald- I suspect it's the snippet re their golden wedding in 1940 that I posted on page 1- the wording is the same: 'James A. Dunne to Annie Butchart Present address 'Dunholme' |

This looks to be correct as a sister- father of the 19th Hussars |

HeyJude- on the marriage of James to Annie Quinn that you put in your keepsafe, can you read what surname it is for James' mother - Ann C??? |

Thanks Eringobragh. It's so frustrating! |

Could this be Ann (Quinn) death? The age is a bit out, but in 1870, on James' service record it does reference Ahmednuggur? which is where this Ann was buried: |

AustinQ since my last posting I have gone through 1834 Census for Granard Parish Co.Longford and cannot find a Dunne Listed...it took some doing as the print in the books is so poor..I then followed that by searching RC Baptisms 1836-1838 that's even a bigger problem because of the writing and the poor copying....only came across 1 Dunne William 1836 son of Patrick and Bridgid so wonder if the Dunne's were just moving into the area...had to give up on the Registers half way through 1839 or I will be here at six oclock and still got nothing done.. |
