Ann, the 1911 census says They have been married 14 years (I.e. 1897) and had 11 children 7 of whom are still living. It doesn't give a place of marriage. |

Rose, I think the mother must have been married before and that's why be can't tie in his birth. |

Rootgatherer I was looking at that one but couldn't see a corresponding marriage to that Philip's mother, at least not in her maiden name. |

There is a marriage of a Philip G to a Catherine in 1968 in Birmingham. Do you think this is too early? |

The problem with the 1907 Aston marriage is that one male name is missing but neither female is Annie |

Hello everyone, just reading through the threads so much to take in....My mother and fathers marriage certificate says my father was divorced when they married.my mother seems to think that Philip married a girl called cathy in the late 60s she was having a baby and Philip said he would keep in touch with my father and let him know if the baby was a boy or girl but he never did mom tried to find Philip to let him know that dad had passed away but with no luck. In the early 90s there was a note left on dads grave saying sorry dad love Philip. Not sure what is first wife's name was, mom said dad called her Phil for short it could be Phyllis, Philippa or something similar. if that helps x |
