Having checked Freebmd for Ellen Redfern/Redfearn births the ones that were shown were all born after the 1911 census. |

its a puzzle to me i tried finding my grandad first and nothing so my last resort was to find his sister but still nothing begining to think they might have been poor and was lodging with another family but not on any census |

I struggled to find a family once. They were living with another family and the enumerator had given them the other family's surname. Fortunately for me someone on here found them for me. If you bought young Ellens birth certificate with a bit of luck you may be able to find them through the address on the birth certificate. |

ellens father was born 2-8-1883 massachusetts and died 17-4-1935 sheffield,if thats him on 1911 census were is his sons my grand dad alfred born 1909 and george 1907 and ellens mother also ellen |

If hoyle street (from info on other thread) is where they might be in 1911 it seems to be missing page on census. Perhaps someone knows how to find if pages were missing from Sheffield. |
