Malyon, thank you and that is so revealing - but what is the actual record, please? Oh, drrrrrrr, I now see that it is the 1841 census. So there were certainly TWO elder brothers, Julian and Stewart, and one unnamed younger one.
Can anyone follow these three brothers of our chap forward, please? Can we get any of them to be the one mentioned out in India in 1889 written account??
Andrew, yes that is 'my' family.
Got to hit the hay now, till tomorrow. :-)

HBH was born in April 1839 and married my ancestor on 25th May 1889 in Nainital, India. He died in 1914 in Petersfield, Hampshire. PLEASE don't waste your valuable time researching him; we really do know all about him!!! I don't want to be accused of repetition.
We know that he had at least one sister, JANE ELIZA HANNA. She is mentioned in another of my posts as the wife of the Reverend David Rutton Morris.
We have a lot of fascinating handwritten information about HBH and also the handwritten journal of his sister as the wife of the Vicar in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
But - and this is what I am searching for now - we have now come across a reference to a "Mr. Hanna" in 1889 in connection with my above relation HBH who was in fact a COLONEL in the Indian Army. So HBH seems to have had at least one brother without rank employed in the Raj years out in India.
I have tried to find siblings for HBH other than the known sister Jane but have got stuck. :-(
Can you help, please?
