OK - go into your Keepsafe and click on the photo. You should be able to change the Privacy settings on it, you need to make sure that the setting is "Shared with everyone". Once you've done that click "save changes" at the bottom.

What you then need to do is copy the URL for the image and paste it in this thread.

Here's an example of one I made earlier!

If stuck, show techie grandson this post and enlist his help!

I have it in Keep Safe but what now?

jenVG Report 18 Dec 2015 19:00

I have a problem - being a bit of a technophobe! It has been sent to me zipped and I should think it must be unzipped to show on here. I shall get my techie grandsons to advise. Watch this space!

Hello Jennifer, not against the rules at all - we'd love to see the photo.

Just add the photo to your Keepsafe on here and then post the link (having made sure to set the photo privacy settings so that we can see it).

I have now got a nice photo of Margaret Delisle Burns seated near the easel where she must have painted my mother circa 1924. Would it be against the rules to put it on this thread?
Merry Christmas

I am getting much information about the artist and have a photo of her at last. This is a successful ending. Thanks so much to everybody for your input.

I have never even considered that it may have monetary value. After all, who other than my family would be interested in owning it. I will see what the grandson tells me - if he is not too busy doing what these grandsons do! I took a photo of it and sent it to him with an email. No idea how to do this on here.

With thanks to all. I now have contact with a grandson of Margaret Burns and hope to
find out more about her and hopefully see a photo of her. All this information will be put together with the portrait of my mother for future generations.

There will be a photo I am sure lurking in the Archives of Margaret..its finding it...!!

Thanks Erin, Strange man. From nearly into Priesthood to the contrast of atheism. If only a picture of Margaret was lurking somewhere - that would be the icing on the cake for me. However I have had a tree match from GR and told that the four grandsons of Margaret from son Benedict are all around and the person is married to their second cousin and he has contact details. Dare I hope that a picture will be forthcoming from one of them?
Thanks everybody
