If you buy William and Annie's marriage certificate it may give their ages (although it may only say "of full age"). It should also name William's father which would make it easier to find him in the census. William's occupation from the certificate may also help.

What makes you think William Sturgeon was born 1890-1900? Is it just because you think it may tie up with Annie's age/the date of the marriage or do you have something more definite?
