	Eringobragh1916 Sorry about that, it's just that I don't know why Amy thinks that her father's first wife might be Emily Dumbleton if she hasn't got the marriage certificate to check. I'm pretty sure that the birth above will be the right one as it would be a coincidence if not. I could be completely wrong about the marriage but it's in the same area as the birth and Amy thought there may be children to the marriage. I think some certificates are needed or things could get even more complicated. Kath. x

	This is where the confusion with the name change comes from I think. It looks as if your father was born before his parents marriage, so his surname was always Bolton and his middle name Keen (illegitimate children were often given their father's surname as a middle name). His parents married very soon after his birth by the looks of things as the marriage is in the same quarter as the birth:- First name(s) ALBERT KEEN Last name BOLTON Birth year 1886 Birth quarter 3 Registration month - Mother's last name - District WOODSTOCK County Oxfordshire Country England Volume 3A Page 828 EDIT - I HAVE DELETED THE MARRIAGE AND TWO CHILDREN I THOUGHT MIGHT HAVE BEEN ALBERT'S FIRST MARRIAGE. 	Eringobragh1916 That's the marriage I thought might be Albert's first marriage. Then when I looked at Amy's surname it is given as Hawkins. Is this just a coincidence that it is similar to Elisabeth Hawkes?? or did he change his name to his first wife's maiden name and not his mother's. Am I complicating this unneccesarily? Kath. x

I know they have a Granddaughter Valerie but do not know any of their children. Also met Doris who married John Healey they have a daughter Bernice who lives in Staffordshire. I believe Albert who is my dad was married before he met my mum & had children in his previous marriage but can find no information on this.
