Still cant find Emily in 1891. Have tried looking for the correct George Wakefield on census.. Logically he died around 1893/4, so I should find them together in 1891.


Erika kindly posted marriage details. Is there an occupation noted for George please?

George Wakefield was a Builder whan he married in 1882

Both he and Emily gave their address as Bond Street

His father was said to have been a Stone Mason

The death needs verifying - the age doesn't match the 1891 census. (by 10 years)

A tree on Ancestry suggests this is the death of Emily's first husband...................

Yes, I was passed his information too. It means that Emily married again to George Wakefield in London before he died. In any case, all the Parsons relatives he was living with in frome in 1881 ended up in the workhouse permanently, or died, except for their son Herbert who somehow ended up with mum in Wimbledon.
Herbert Francis is not found in 1901, but marries in 1905 Wimbledon on this thread.

Trail found for Herbert, on his thread, thank you. Only 1901 census is missing for Herbert (Francis Herbert).

I realise that, but as you mentioned him on this page, i thought it would save ploughing through all the other posts to have the info about him in one place

Has this one been ruled out? If this is your Herbert he was on HMS Lizard at the time of the 1901 census.
