You have in the opening post that George was born 1862, but the 1901 census would suggest he was born later.

Is this his baptism:

Looking at Florence - Kenora as a middle name seems to suggest that there is already a conection with Kenora, Ontario dont you think?

That being the case, had George or Marie or both lived in Canada before the children were born or could it be to do with Georges mother Emily Harriet Pack who was born in new york - i know its not Canada but maybe a connection there somehwere. Or ---- did any of George's siblings emigrate first ?

Hi, I am looking fo info on George Parker and his wife Mary Holmes and wonder if anyone could help as I am up against that brick wall!

George Parker b 1862 Penge, Surrey was the oldest child of John Parker and Emily Harriet Pack.

Father - John Parker was born in 1838/9 in Bromley, Kent ( next door to Penge where george was born.

Mother - Emily Harriet Pack was born in 1842 in New York - neither her parents James or Ruth Pack were from the US and Emily was the 2nd child of 8 and the only one to be born overseas - any info on the family's time in New York would be great.

George Parker married Mary Holmes and they had 7 daughters. They emigrated to Ontario in 1908 but I dont know if the children were born in England or in the Canada. I cant find a marriage for George and Mary anywhere in the uk so any info would be good please.

I dont know anything about Mary Holmes, where she was born or her parents which would help in looking for her.

One of the Parker daughters was Dorothy Eulalie Parker who married in Kenora, Ontario.

Another name I have been given ( dont know where she fits in yet ) is Victoria May Parker also born in Canada but as she is someones grandmother I am trying to work out if George had a son - just ot my confused head on.

If anyone could help in at least finding George and Mary's marriage i would be very grateful and any info on their whereabouts once in Ontario.

It could be possible that George ended up in America where his mother was born - any info would be wonderful

Thanks alot

Rosie Lee
