You're welcome Peter. Here is the 1891 so William snr has died by now.
It also suggests that the marriage I found for Elizabeth Wainwright is correct as her father is included on this.

Oh Thank you so much for the quick reply. Don't know how you found these entries so quick, I am a novice and have spent all day to get to the 1901 census. I obviously need to learn as you say. I have found an entry in a 1901 Census which shows my Grandfather William Corbett age 23. On the same entry his Mother is shown as Elizabeth Hart. Included are four Corbett's and two Harts. The entry show Elizabeth as "wife" - I cannot find any records of the father - can anyone help or show me in the right direction.
