He is described as a jeweller. His father is John Hiram Lissant (deceased) and her father is John Abraham (deceased) Charles is of St John's Parish (Calcutta). Thyrza-Elizabeth of the parish of Bracknell in the diocese of Oxford. He is aged 27 , a bachelor, she is a 24 yr old spinster. One of the witnesses is an S H H Lissant.

I think S. H. H Lissant is a Sidney Herbert Hiram Lissant who married Maria Teresa Hill in India.

EDIT: Sidney Herbert Hiram Lissant's father is listed on his marriage record as John Hiram Lissant, so it seems Sidney H H was Charles James Ogden Lissant' brother.

S H H was also born in the Edmonton reg district like Charles in the birth I posted earlier in the thread:

I think the 'C' on the 1901 census should have been an E.

This is all highly speculative, as I can't link either Charles or Thirza with the Brown family, but they do seem to have resided in Croydon at some point, and Thirza died there.

I cannot trace their marriage at all, nor see what happens to Charles after Thirza's death.

The plot thickens!

Census 1881.

Thurza now seems to be niece, not daughter, to Thomas and Louisa Cosnight (birthplace and year tally with Thyrza C Lissant ). from the 1901 census. Her future husband/partner Charles is apprentice to Thomas Cosnight., and seems to be a cousin of some sort.

Thomas, as we might have guessed, was a widower, Louisa Alice a spinster. His father was a coal merchant, her father was a house builder.

SECOND EDIT: Louisa Alice Abraham married as a spinster, and her father was named John Abraham. A John Abraham and wife Louisa Alice are the parents of Thyrza Elizabeth in the baptism I had posted below.

In 1902 Charles James Lissant is mentioned in Kelly's Directory:

According to freebmd her birth was registered Oct-Dec 1903 Holborn. I have looked for her in the 1911 census with no luck. Can anyone find her and her family please?
