Yvonne I will buy that certificate as I know his sister lived in burnt oak and the registration district is Hendon and Jacqueline I think you might be right I could not see the boy in the photo being 2 years old I always thought he was about 4 or 5 which would be the right age if he was born in 1940 thank you all for your help

So he may have waited till the first wife died................was he a Roman Catholic?

I'd be surprised if Sarah wasn't............

Did you live with your father from birth?

What was his recorded status when he re-married?

It will be on the cert..........should say widower or previous marriage dissolved
