Yes I do have my mum's birth certificate (Myrenna Pearl French, 12/10/1931) but unfortunately there are no father's details on it. But it did reveal where my Grandmother (Ethel Marena French, nee Stevens) was living at the time, which was 43 Delaware Mansions, Maida Vale. I contacted the Westminster Archives and they were able to tell me from the electroal roll who was living there in 1931 (Samuel & June Garcy, Rudolph Cohen & my Grandmother), who interestingly was using her middle name, slightly mispelt - Myrina & a different surname of Holmes, which she sometimes used - no idea why!!! In the 1932 electoral roll both Rudolph & my Grandmother were not resident.
Many thanks to you all for your help so far, my head hurts from keep banging it against that brick wall :-)

Thank you Tenerife Sun, that's great. I think Rudolph Cohen was my Grandfather (my mum was never told anything about him) so I am trying to find out anything about him (very unsuccessfully!!). That's why I wondered if Samuel & June had any descendents, or indeed Rudolph. I don't suppose on Rudolph's birth record it states a middle name or initial? :-)

In Glitter Babys census above, which was the 1901, Israel was a tailor and both he and Jetta were born in Russia. their address was 63 Leman Street Whitechapel. a lot of other people had this same address so maybe it was rooms or flats.
