When I ordered Irish certificates ( for pre 1922 events), I ordered them from the GROIRE in Roscommon. Recently on another thread someone posted a link to a site that you could buy credits and view the details online. Blowed if I can find the thread now. I was searching for it yesterday to view details of one of my many Irish ancestors. |

Been away for a couple of days, but this is confusing me, "Yes that is the same 1901 I have found" - the one I posted was 1911, and I don't think it is the same family. |

I wonder about this one - the "O" appears to have been added, it was not on the summary form: |

That's the marriage I posted yesterday as a possibility as Hannah was sometimes shortened to Ann or Anna. I had searched under Reardon as often illiteracy was fairly common at that time. |

I'm 90% sure it's Dennehy, having compared the letters to those in other words on the cert - unfortunately there is no other capital D (unless the registrar's name is John Daly, which does match I think!) . The 'hy' looks pretty clear - I think so anyway. |

Given Jan's guess at the surname, I wonder if this is relevant or just a co-incidence. |

If family stories are to be believed, I think Ellen Riordan found with Anne on the 1901 census married James Walsh and emigrated to America in 1908 along with her son Jerimiah - going to husband in New York. |

I see she is in the barracks at Colchester in 1901, but where was George - do you know his age? Also, have you found them in 1911 to see if any of her relatives turn up? |

Have had a look at cert. I think maiden name begins with a D - if I was forced to guess I would say it's something like Dennehy?? |
