Think you are correct there Choccy as there is no matching birth for her if she was actually 16. It does say she is the daughter of Ellen who was too young to have a 16 year old daughter.

I think that is probably Florence Ivy Wall on the 1901 census and should read 6 years, although does say 16 on original.

Hi LeiLanie,
Thank you for your messages. The photo is my nan on my mums side, no connection to the Munn family.
I cannot understand why we cannot find a death record for Henfrey either, it's so frustrating. I've tried looking for an obituary for Dennis to see if we can find living family to try and get an answer but haven't come across one.
What was William Walter Wall's occupation on Florence's birth certificate, it may help us to find them in the census.

William Ealy Munn died in 1906 and Emma remarried William Dawson and they lived in Leicester. There were two more Munn children from Wm and Emma.. Horace b1900 and Frederick 1902. When Emma married Dawson the young frederick was living with them. Frederick married lillian May Bale in 1922 and I found one child, Arthur b1924. I found 6 children born to Arthur and wife Edith.
Winifred came to Toronto and apparently attended Jarvis Collegiate and then did the Mothercraft nursing training and worked as a nanny.
Does anyone have an idea why there would be no public death record for Henfrey?

I can clarify some issues. Henfrey was my grandfather but I too am looking for info on his death and also his wife Florence Ivy. My mother Winifred Ivy came to Canada at age 15 as an orphan after the death of her grandmother Emma Dawson (Munn) nee Neville. Henfrey had a long list of siblings Ada was the oldest and the only one mom remembered. Mom was born at the barracks in Devonport and it appears there was a younger brother Dennis but she never mentioned him to us. I didn't have any military info on Henfrey other than his regiment. Winifred had four children all born in Toronto and I am the oldest. LeiLanie 1939, Virginia 1940 deceased, david 1942, Norman 1945. I am hoping the 1921 census is released in my lifetime.
