Not finding much yet, but his son was obviously named for him - Dennis Henfrey, born 1916 died 1994 in Lambeth.

I've checked CWG site, but no sign of a death for Henfrey that I can see

These were the only two with middle initial L but I felt the birth years were wrong

there are several Public family trees on ancestry ................ none of them have a trace of him after his marriage (or birth of Winifred)

I've just checked the image alviegal and you are right it is I not L.

Going back to Henfrey in Branby Barracks, 1911 - transcribed as Mum on ancestry, he was a private with the Northamptonshire regiment, states born Peterborough.

Wonder if there are any military records on FMP because I can't see any on ancestry or national archives?

There is a military record on FMP - Henfrey Munn (born 1889), looks like he enlisted 1907 in Northants - can anyone access it please?

Looks to be the same Military record ass for the one you have on census Flip but they give nothing away :-(

He attested on 26.10.07 and was living at Weldon St. Kettering. - his next of kin wre just named as 'mother, elder brother, elder sister ' (no names) of 37 Albert St, Kettering. He gave his age as exactly 18 and he was a labourer.

He then was listed as having 'joined the regular army' on 17/12/17 - Northampton Regt.

So, if it is him he lied about his age would have been 17, and I didn't think he had a elder brother - just an older sister??

Strange, he just seems to disappear into thin air.

If Henfrey's daughter's marriage is correct, they appear to have had 1 daughter - who married in 1969 and had 2 daughters.

Although living apart on 2002 ERs, both the parents appear to be in Jersey and he is in the current BT phone book. Just wonder if the grandparents or her mother moved to Jersey as well??

That actually may be a half brother? A tree on Ancestry has William Munn dying in 1898.

Think that tree is wrong, William was on 1901 census - although they are transcribed by ancestry as Mann.
