Yes, this is my family and I have all this information. William was not at home because (the story goes) he went to America or Canada with two married sisters and was to send for his family when he was settled. However, he came back around 1883/4 and they had another daughter.
That's another brick wall. I don't know the name of the sisters and have not been able to find him on a ship. At least not to confirm that it is the same person.

This is the marriage for William Lowe and Hannah Towers:
Manchester, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1930
Name: William Lowe - spindle maker of Trumpet Street Age: Full Marriage Date: 31 Mar 1850 Parish: Manchester, St John Parish as it Appears: Manchester Father's Name: John Lowe - Mason Spouse's Name: Hannah Towers - of Clarendon Street Spouse's Father's Name: John Towers - Millwright Reference Number: GB127.M403/6/3/22
Both full age, neither previously married.

Hannah's name wrongly recorded on signature as Travis but as they were illiterate she probably wouldn't have known what she was putting her mark to.

(I realise this marriage has been posted but thought the additional info may be useful)

Thanks Gins. That's very useful. Any idea how I can set about proving these are my ancestors. My grandmother, Sarah Hannah Lowe was born in 1878 to William Henry Lowe b.1858 and Martha Ashcroft. His father was William Lowe, iron turner. I got this info from Sarah and Martha's marriage cert. William Lowe is a common name in Lancashire hence I have come to a brick wall.
Love Annie's song!

I am searching for the parents and siblings of my great-grandfather. I have found a family that could be them:
William Lowe b. 1829 married Hannah Towers in 1850 at St Johns, Manchester. Children: Elizabeth b. 1853, William H b. 1858, Sarah b. 1859, James b.1861.
I think this maybe the right family because of names. My grandmother was Sarah Hannah. I have been searching for a long time so if anyone is related that would be great. Thank you
