On the passenger list that arrived New York, Jan. 1947 where their names had been crossed off they seemed to be travelling with Thomas & Ivy R. Jones, also from Wrexham, received their passports the same day as the Roberts and were going to join the same friend in Nova Scotia. However written beside their name is "Dau. in US, Mrs Douglas, 101 Foster Ave., Oakland, California." This is the same name and address that the Roberts were going to in 1950. |

They'd originally been scheduled to travel in December 1946 but hadn't boarded the ship. |

Ancestry has border crossings Canada to US 1895-1956. It might give their address in Canada. Care to post the names so that we could help? |

Would this be too recent for the divorce, assuming it was in California? |

A relative and his wife travelled to America on route to Canada in 1947, They then re-entered America (Port Angeles, Washington in 1950) with their daughter. Please can anyone tell me how to find out where they went to in Canada. Also how do I find out about divorces in USA. His last known place of abode was Mount Shasta California. |
