alviegal,
If that is his death, then He never returned to his wife and children.
One son James Dickie , that his father says was born 19th July 1903 ,
may have come to Lincoln at some point around 1920s. and married my relative.
I have a week of work, and I am trying to nail William's family down, what a start, been on the computer for 10 hours on and off :-S :-0 :-0

The best way to clarify that his war record is correct is to start by getting a copy of his marriage cert, Scotish certs give more info than England and Wales certs
scotlands people is a pay per view site you need to buy credits to see the certs so i don't think anyone else will spend their money looking for you,

Hi Roy,
The only imformation is limited , it came from William Dickie's war papers. He joined in 1915 in Glasgow. but ended up in Lincoln England , with another woman in 1918. I wondered about his life before , and if He went back to his wife and children.
