If he isn't named on your birth cert, you have very little chance of findiing out your father's name........

I hope you do actually have your birth cert?

Or , at least, your adoption papers..............

Flip

Suggesting looking at ER's is not appropriate..........this was during the WAR

There is no reason to assume that Nellie was actually living with this man..........although, of course she could have been.

If she was, and her husband was serving his country - where were her older children?

The 1944 births in Wolverhampton are also interesting.....both Clark, both Watterson MMN, both same quarter both Wolverhampton but seemingly different references.

Jane there is a lot of information you could use to build a picture. You appear to have three half-siblings born in Warrington and a sister, born a year earlier than you, who may or may not have been a full sister. And possibly two other siblings.

Your mother appears to have gone back to Warrington and to have been maybe reconciled with Clarence (to have been buried with him).

Why you were adopted and your elder sister was first fostered and then reconciled with your mother is not something that any of us can help with.

Just be aware that there are obviously some very raw emotions - even over half of a century later.

Are you saying you have just paid for another 6 months standard membership when you already have a yearly one?

If so I would get in touch with Genes

[email protected]

What were you hoping to find with credits?

payg credits are £17.95 for 200 or £5 for 50

The thread shown by Reggie above has been deleted.

But here's another one:

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards/board/genealogy_chat/thread/1338235

Best to keep everything on here, and not add to that other one.

This is what Jane says:

"I started the end of February looking for a family i have never known and i hardly knew where to start looking but with a little help from others here i believe i have found my parants ,grandparants, and great grandparants even seen the faces of some of them with the photographs kindly placed on the sight. It is quite exciting i never thought i would ever see my own mothers face i am so grateful to everybody who helped. But although i have found most of my sisters and brothers there as been one i was told about as a child i have not been able to find. To my knowledge her name was Patricia known as patsy i am not convinced that the Lilian M.R. Gorton Clark is her as Mrs Gorton had a daughter and i think it might be her own daughter this is the one suggested was Patricia. She is Watterson, Clark and born the same year 1941 and i can not find a Patricia. This one was born in Wolverhampton and now lives in Cheshire or so i believe. I am not after making contact with her just adding that lost link to those i have already found. Can you help?. Thanks"
