Gins, it's his Airman's Record (Chris posted on page 1)
Air Ministry: Air Member for Personnel and predecessors: Airmen's Records Reference:AIR 79
Air Ministry: Air Member for Personnel and predecessors: Airmen's Records
Description: This series contains service records for airmen of the Royal Air Force (RAF) who served during the First World War.
Note: Some AIR 79 records are noted as 'Record Not Available'. There are two reasons for this. Either the individual was commissioned from the ranks and his RAF airmen's record no longer survives, or the airman served after the late 1920s and in many cases into the Second World War and his record has yet to be transferred. In the case of those men who were commissioned, their records may be in AIR 76. The records of those airmen whose service continued into the 1930s and 1940s will be transferred at a later date. Date: 1918-1928
Arrangement: The records are arranged in service number order and by name of airman.
Related Material: A nominal index to later service records not yet transferred to the National Archives is available to download free of charge as part of the Digital Microfilm project in Records of service for RAF officers are in AIR 76 AIR 78 Held by: The National Archives, Kew Legal status: Public Record Language: English Physical description: 2807 file(s) Access conditions: Open

SORRY to Jude-I really don't know how I missed that link you gave. I may have thought it was something for Fred. Hardie.
Sorry, too ,for the delay in responding. Was off doing a house-sitting stint for a family member with no computer access.
I promise to try harder in future. :-)

Hi All, Have just received my grandfathers marriage cert from Westchester Archives. It looks like he was a naughty boy. Edward Sidney married Charlotte Elizabeth Anna Froelich 25 July 1922 in Tarrytown NY. Both married for the 1st time, Edward 30, Charlotte 21 ( Edward should be 35). Parents of Edward are correct, and for Charlotte, father William and mother Anna Marie Wacenfield both from NY City. Edward is a professional golfer and Charlotte a clerk. They live at537 Warburton Ave, Hastings on Hudson. Well where to now? Can't find any death records. We're there any children? As she was only 21 there must be so where do you look for the records?

I'm pretty sure that's her Maureen.
On the image she's with William Froehlich 61 from Germany, a machinist and Augusta Froehlich, age 13.
There are no marital status on that census.
William is listed as "Father" and Anna as "Sister" so wonder if Augusta give the information for that census?

On the link that Jude gave: http://www.westchestergov.com/recordcenter/marriages.asp?NAV=8&pageNum=C
There's a marriage for: Curteas Charlotte E.A. 3592 1927
It's such a shame that you can't match them to the relevant spouse.
So did Edward die or was there a divorce?

Gins, I don't think there's any marital status?
I thought "W" denoted she was white but will go back and check again ....
Have checked, these are the columns:
permanent residence name relationship to head of household color sex age nativity (country) citizenship (if naturalized, where, when) occupation inmates of institutions and infants under one year of age (to record residence when admitted)
The W does seem to be under the "color" heading for her.
