Thanks to all for your help, appreciated.
Some of the children don't seem to fit. Can anyone please do a census / electoral roll showing the children that is living with William and Mary early 1900's. Am beginning to wonder looking through the NSW BDM if where the children are with the parents William 'C' and Mary J that the 'C' is a different set of parents.
Thanks Chris have had a look at your links, big thanks and also sent of an email to Rookwood Cemetery. Yes the trooper was William James Campbell the son of William and Mary, sadly his military records are lost.
One child has me puzzled - Frances Campbell as I've got her birth as 1903 in Ballina (NSW BDM) but her marriage in 1893 to ALEXANDER GRAHAM. The marriage is more likely to be correct from the Obituary so the birth probably isn't but can't find another to fit.
Also can't find a birth for Annie Bolton Campbell and can't see where the1941 death of Annie Charlotte Johnson (nee Campbell) fits in.
Such common names... Kind regards Kaye

Thank you all, BatmansDaughter, I am not sure if William snr had a middle name with the letter 'C a looking at the above I don't think William C is the correct William. Some of the births of their children Mary sometimes had a "J" as a middle initial so its a could be or another William and Mary family.
The Campbells lived all their adult life in the Liverpool / Fairfield area, so I do wonder if William's death above in 1922 at the Rookwood Asylum is correct, age would be about right. Do you know where I can get a cororners report or medical records?
Mary's maiden name is not Fitzgerald but Montgomery. When I spoke with NSW BDM a few years back they advised that the deaths of Mary mentioned above by Chris had no mentioned of 'Montgomery' but with the Funeral Notice I feel confident that Mary's death 6610/1932 CAMPBELL MARY JAMES ANNIE LIVERPOOL is the correct one so will order it.
An electoral roll search in the early 1900's would help with (hopefully) confirmation of which children belonged to William and Mary. There is also a Obituary for Mary on Trove.nla from The Biz Fairfield April 1932 which gives three sons and four daughters.
This article in The Biz newspaper 15.04.1932:
OBITUARY MRS. MARY CAMPBELL The death occurred at 11.30 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. R. J. Collins. Mrs. Mary Campbell, Smithfield-street, Fairfield, of 75 years. The deceased lady was in her usual good health and spirits that morning, and at 10.30 had morning tea, after which she said she would rest for awhile on bar bed. It proved to be her last rest, for at an hour later her daughter spoke to her, but there was no answer. She had passed peacefully away in her sleep. Mrs. Campbell was born in Londonderry, Ireland, on September 25, 1856. In 1874 she married the late William jCampbell and tliciy, with their infant son, landed in Australia in 1877. Shortly afterwards they went to Sydney, and from there to this district, where they. both spent the remainder of their days. The husband predeceased her by 11 years. Deceased had a wide circle c'X friends, and will be long remembered by them for her loving Mature and many acts of kindness. She leaves a grown Up family of three boys and four daughters to imourn their loss. The sons are William (Nsw Zealand) Robert and David (Fairfield); and the daughters, Mrs. Graham (Penrith), Mrs. Collins (Fairfield), Mrs. Walsh (Bossley Park) and Mrs. Johnson (Fairfield). William came over recently from New Zealand for the purpose of seeing his" mother, after an absence of 27 years. He left again for his home just a week previous to her death. The remains were interred in the Independent portion of Rookwood cemetery, the funeral being largely attended by relatives and friends. Messrs. Metcalfe and Morris, Parramatta, were the undertakers (Mr. D. T. Campbell, Fairfield, representative)

Hello
Can someone who has access to electoral rolls please locate this family for me please (big thanks to Vanessa who found this family after all my searching the last 7 years with my limited ability).
William Campbell and his wife Mary Campbell of Liverpool area in NSW. William snr from what I have found didn't appear to have a middle name but Mary his wife sometimes appears to have a 'J' as a middle name.
William Campbell snr died in 1922 (thats all the information on his death I have)
Mary Campbell died in 1932 buried in Rookwood Cemetery just outside Sydney. The husand and wife travelled from Ireland in approximately to NSW 1878/89 (to be confirmed) with an infant child who died in 1892 (John).
These children (but yet to confirm) from looking through NSW BDM are:
William James Campbell (born in Antrim Ireland) 1878 (he is my direct relation) he migrated to New Zealand in 1907/08. Robert V Campbell b.1901 David HR Campbell b. 1886 Charlotte Campbell (Annie?) b.1891 Frances M Campbell b. 1903 Margaret b. 1889 Annie Bolton b. 1907 ????
I haven't yet confirmed the above children but it looks likely.
Grateful for any assistance. Thank you
