My wifes great grandfather was John Berg, proprietor of the Cocoa Rooms in South Shields in 1884 when he married Jessie Forsyth. They had a daughter called Cecilia Berg. John's father was Joseph Berg, a farmer. We understand that Joseph and possibly John may have been born in Germany. Has anyone got Berg's in their ancestry? |
