Reggie - I believe the Hester Withy found in 1911 is the correct person. Thanks.

Sidney O'Connell Cormack did die in 1942 (bath bltiz) and my father says our ancestors on his father's are from Ireland. Although my paternal great grandfather (Daniel Cormack) was born in India.

I don't know when Lily Chivers died but she died in Bath - I'm sure I can get a rough date from my father though. I will look into obtaining a copy of her birth certificate so I can a) get her dob and b) obtain info on her mother.

The marriage MarieCeleste found is definitely the correct one and he married Lily Chivers - thanks again!

No.........this one can't be right. It states married 1 year no children.

Personally, I believe that Hester is Lily's mother - not Emily.

Hester married Arthur Evans as shown, and between 1901 and 1911 she became Hester Withy (per the 1911)

Obviously, Lily's 1882 birth cert will tell the truth.

I wonder if Lily is Emily's daughter then. I think Emily might have married a Joseph Hester - maybe this is where the Hester name comes from?? But you need some paper evidence to support any of this - especially as there are 2 Emily's;
