So if William Charles was born in October 1880 and the marriage was in February 1880 was Elizabeth pregnant when she married which is why his real name is Schackenberg |

1911 census is spot on...I know of Appian Road....the 1861 census looks promising......Higgs might be worth a follow up...unless Eliza was born out of wedlock...?...lol.... :-D |

? Eliza Higg/s senior who married Edward Leary - father noted as John a Ropemaker on marriage cert |

Christine | Report | 8 Jul 2013 17:17 |
Eliza was born in Middx ...I guess her mother may be Irish with regards to the potatoe famine...I don't think Eliza moved out of the East End...too busy deliverying babies...and taking in washing ...she couldn't read or write and failed her exams as a midwife....but was on hand to help the registered midwife when she wasn't around...lol....ah well back to the elusive EDWARD HIGGS...whoever he might be..?...guess it could be a mistake and Eliza could have given her mothers maiden name ..lol... :-) |
