Thank you for your help everybody. I guess Frank Ross will have to remain a complete mystery. I would guess he was already married and Frank was not his correct name. |

Well at least it seems Frank was truthful when he said he came from London but I am not so sure that was actually called Frank. |

There's a family tree on Ancestry for Albert with a lot of (unverified) info about his family. |

Oh this is tantilising !! I had hoped that Mary Georgina was going to help me find Frank (or whatever name he had) but that is obviously not so. Perhaps it is Albert Ernest Ross he was related to. |

Oh, Albert was a very naughty boy! At least 4 other women named in the divorce documents. |

If the above is her marriage, then here she is in 1881 & 1891. James is a retired tea planter. Lots of servants: |

Please can anybody find, on the 1851 or 1861 census, Mary Georgina Ross born 1854 in London and married 1878 St. George Hanover Square. Father's name Albert Ernest Ross, Colonel 5th Fusiliers. |

The address on the baptism record for Mary Georgina Ross is the same as that given on Frank Ross's Death Certificate. |

Some documents I have give Frank as a Gasfitter or Plumber and some say Potman. Probably a Gasfitter prior to his illness and then a Potman (collector/washer of dirty glasses/pots) to earn some money when too ill to be a Plumber. |
