It happens on a regular basis that Ancestry ads appear on the GR boards and sometimes a couple of times a year.

It makes me laugh when the board police RR threads because they contain references to Ancestry. They obviously don't use GR.com.au.

As for the dusting and the cleaning can you buy those Robo vacuums and the ones that wash the floor while you aren't home?

I seem to remember about a year ago you sending screenshots to GR showing them that there were ads for the opposition on the GR site..

Guess they are okay with it cause Sue has just said "GR consider it one of their income streams. "

I would think not .. do you think Gai that it is a yearly thing.?

I don't get ads because my spyware has a network attack blocker, anti-spam, anti-phishing, anti-banner, proactive control , all sorts of anti virus protection.

As soon as I can get it to do the dusting and cleaning I will be well pleased. ;-)

I even have a safe run sandbox on there but have not played in it yet... will wait for summer to return.. wonder if it will do sunblock.

The Ancestry DNA advert is on Findmypast.co.uk too.

Well for the long weekend here in Oz there is free access to UK records on Ancestry.com.au and just in case you haven't seen the blanket advertising on TV you can read it all over the GR Boards.

Poor Estelle when she comes in Monday is going to have numerous emails from me with the screen shots attached and the Ancestry ads have been on the site everyday since the 19th May. :-(

Get a different ad every time I log on and never bother looking at them anyway. Much more interesting things to do. Switch over when ads on telly as well.

I get retirement Lifestyle offers.................they'll get bored before I do :-)

Not seeing it on here but have seen it at the top of another site today.

At the top of my screen now is an advert for insurance.

There is that one Jax and then another one with loads of writing on. I don't tend to look at adverts so have never read it but think it is the one Dea sees.

I have" 2 people are spying on you view now" nothing else (down the side)

and "2 people are spying on you...see who" (along the top)

I normally see adverts for Ancestry.com.au across the top of my screen and down the side and also across the bottom of the page.

Banner add tracking & rotating adverts - I agree they are very irritating but GR consider it one of their income streams.

I try to ignore them and try not to click on them but.......They are time set to rotate so at this moment I have the Waitrose gluten free brand advert

It is fact that adverts reflect the type of interests one looks up on the web - there is always a monitoring cookie somewhere in the background.

I also have the "2 people are spying on you" advert on my screen
Every couple of days, the screen switches between the Spying Ad and the Retirement Ad, but I choose to ignore them.
