Keoghoe - Irish? I cannot find the connection

My maternal grandfather was Albert Keoghoe b1889 in Bethnal Green. I had always understood he was Irish and born in Dublin. This was why no research had been done on him. My grandmother was Alice Maud Gladden b1893.

Since I have been on here with the Mackleworth threads, I found my grandfather easily enough. But I can't get back far enough to see if he was Irish in descent or not.

Can you tell me if there is an Irish connection or have I been fed blarney? :-D
