Kemp I read it as James married Emily in 1919. I just looked for the marriage and found it in Kent.

Len if you have the marriage of James and Emily can you tell us what John the fathers occuption was please.?

Looking for information on James.
His father was a John Stevens. He married Emily Amelia Thompson nee Wallis 12 oct 1919. Both were widows
James joined Navy 16 Sept 1998. Gave his birthday as 10 Aug 1880 but this is strongly believed to be false.

Cannot find him in
births
1881 census (okay may not jave been born
1891 census when he would have been 10
1901 census maybe away at sea
Any info re James, his family, his first wife, father, mother, siblings appreciated
