...do you know are there any public records that can be seen to see if the children were sent to orphanages :-(

Sharon.........after saying that you already went down the wrong path, i really do think it would be in your best interest to purchase a copy of the Lydon/Rowan marriage certificate.

It is all too easy to guess at this........but you really do want to know for certain that you have the right family.

yes will do prickly holly but as i knew all of the names here i think this was a definite match. the only child missing here which name i knew was frank ...

I am wondering if frank could be grandmothers uncle ? when my Nan died she was buried with Frank? her sister Anne Florence, her son Derek her brothers Uncle john moved to Australia ( passed away last year) and I think with uncle Vincent who I never met died . Thanks for your help

I think you really need to treat yourself to your grandmother's parents marriage cert as that will tell you more as you know who Mary K's parents were.
