Looks like the two sisters may have married brothers - see above.

You said in your opening post that she didn't appear to have married but now her name is Barford.

Could you clarify, was she born Mary Barford and you think she might have married a Crompton?

As I asked earlier, is that definitely the right birthdate for your Mary?

Hi Mark - who were Mary's parents? Might help us when looking at possible records.

Is that definitely "your" Mary's birthdate? (There was a Mary Crompton in USA of similar age, who was British, but she was married).

I don't want to start churning out loads of records if it's possible to narrow it down ....
