There is bound to be a cemetery office. Call in there and ask them for the locations of the graves. |

Last time I saw Key Hill cemetery it was more or less in ruins. My g grandmother & 2 of her sons & a grandchild, as well as several other ancestors are buried there, but it is completely neglected & has become a haunt of drunks & junkies. Disgraceful!! |

The friends of Key Hill have worked very hard to tidy the cemetary & they are extremely helpful, if you tell them who you are lookimg for they will tell you the exact location |

The Friends of Key Hill Cemetery & Warstone Lane Cemetery in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter in Hockley are the only group to maintain the cemeteries. The Friends help to raise funds to restore the headstones as well as researching the lives of those buried in these two historic cemeteries where a number of notable people are buried. Including, Joseph Chamberlain politician and statesman, Mayor of Birmingham: Alfred Bird ( Custard ) Joseph Gillott ( Pen manufacture ): Robert Lucas Chance ( Glass makers ) : John Baskerville ( Printing & typeface) Harry Gem ( Lawn Tennis ) |

hello wisechild. There are no paupers graves in either Key Hill Cemetery or Warstone Lane Cemetery, only private graves or public grave. Restoration of the cemeteries will commence shortly. |

Interesting information, but unfortunately posted on a 4 year old thread. It's worth checking the date on the last post. |
