Well Reggie have looked and again another ancestor who I cannot find a marriage or death for, I have a marriage date for her marriage to William Trueman on 3 Dec 1822 Aberdeen but I cannot find it.
|
So why not look for Catherine's records?
|
We are looking for a Catharine Black as his wife but our Catharine was b abt 1805 and in this census she is aged 60 where as our Catharine would have been 46.
|
The census gives you the surname of his wife at the time he married her.....not necessarily her birth name, of course. I have to say it also seems improbable
And the most likely version of the man's surname...........I would suggest

Hi Reggie,
Have credits for SP and came up with nothing. I went with both names and still nothing. My friend says it Falik McAeron, how he worked back to him I don't know its on his side of the tree. Thought if someone could find his birth in Ireland it would be a start for me to help him.

Have you tried the IGI for a baptism and/or marriage?
For his death, you'll have to buy credits on SP
But you need to be certain of the correct name.......the census version seems more plausible
How did you work back to him?
