Well, I suspected that things may not have worked out for her and Dawson when she was with her family on the 1871.
Can't trace her on later census - she may have taken up with someone.
I would reckon that Dawson's children were with Eliza Emma Ashworth Chapman, his former housekeeper cum wife, going by those baptisms.

Whats a Picker Maker?
A Picker Maker is a person who cast the shuttle on a loom. Made the "Pickers" - strong leather attachments fitted to each side of a weaving loom to drive the shuttle across the loom.

Yes Mel, Frances offering them earlier in the week!
This may be why the kids were all christened 1881:
West Yorkshire, England, Marriages and Banns, 1813-1935
Name: Dawson Clapham - widower, a stonemason Age: Full Age Marriage or Bann Date: 22 Jun 1881 Parish: Halifax, Haley Hill, All Souls Father's Name: William Clapham - carpet weaver Spouse's Name: Eliza Emma Ashworth Chapman, spinster Spouse's Father's Name: William Chapman - a dyer
Witnesses: James Ashworth and Frances Broadbent.
Address for both bride and groom was Elgin Street, Booth Town Road. The marriage record has them both as full age but the banns has them both as 34.
EDIT: He was NOT a widower!! First wife Sarah alive and kicking on later census.
