If it is relative to this one then I would be continuing on here or you could start a new thread re John (Scotland) and make ref to any info re John and Susan you already have obtained on this thread...sometimes your damned if you do and damned if you dont

am I allowed to start a thread on John Carr ?as this thread was about joseph carr ?

where can you view marriages in scotland as it would appear that is where the above John and Susannah were married as all their children were born in scotland before they moved to Durham ?

You could do with his marriage cert to establish father's name.
This looks like the Joseph above. Father a tailor, but the neighbours are shipwrights!
