Rachel, if it's a completely different person from another family then start a new post, otherwise just continue on here. |

Really sorry to ask, but I am struggling to get anything of any use out of Freereg (must be doing something wrong). Ernest Thompson born 1878 in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, was married to Nellie (would like her surname for a start), Ernest parents were George Thompson (dob 1847) and Harriet (dob 1844) - in theory it should be a doddle, but after 4 hours I still can't sort it. |

It seems like another family, but it is still mine, if you see what I mean. |

Yes, I see what you mean but you could have had a separate thread for him. |

Yes I have all that, he is in my living memory, if you know what I mean, he was my grandma's father and remember most of his children, it should be easy but I just get nothing, on baptisms for any of them. I will try the other site, thatnk you. |

Thank you very much indeed. I found his children on the baptism notices in Genesreuntied, but couldn't get any of the children from Freereg or the other site, I must be doing something wrong, I can't work it out. Alice would be a good name for her, as one of her daughters is Alice, and somebody has it up on another tree (but married to the wrong man) I think I need to do it on foot, but that seems daft when I will have to do it eventually, and all this should be assessable from here. I must find out what I am doing wrong. Thanks again. |

Have to say thank you again, as this information has linked me up with some of my family who come together with Alice Underwood, and suddenly I have a whole lot of work done already that I can access. Wish somebody had done the otherside. Want to go back to 1600's if I can. Bet that bit gets difficult I am struggling in the 17's. |

Arrggghhhh - thank you...... above information very much appreciated. I wish they would all be known as their given name, would be much better, seems this strand are particularly bad at that. |
