There are two records for him neither of which contain much information although luckily there is a photograph of him on the earlier record. The first is for 1918 to 1921 and the second is 1921 to 1942. |

The Will only proves that Richard was alive when it was drawn up.............not that he was around when it came into force. Unless he was one of the named executors and he fulfilled the function. |

This is the family in 1881. On Richards merchant Seaman records he gives his birth place as Layter so it could be Layton.. |

No Middle name....i Dont know if he married....i know that all three of the brothers were sea men in the merchant navy...and all were alive in after 1934....there are two birth entries for Richard Abbott,but i dont know which is mine....his father was Samuel Abbot born 1858,occupation a butchert & Mother Elizabeth living in darlington durham in1891.....richard is not on the 1901 with his parents,and i have never found him since the 1891 census.... |

I really do need a Ancestry look up.i know i can easily do it on freebmd but ime a bit crap with maths,& ohhhh the stress of it,please can some-one find death deatails for Richard Abbott,he was born 1882 and was still alive when his father died in 1934....the family are from the durham darlington area & at times Yorkshire, my gt grandad (richards brother) came to salford and layed down his roots...i would be grateful to any help thanks |
