It may not be relevant, but I earlier posted this potential baptism for William Bridgman at Bideford in 1788 (there was also an alternative candidate baptised Jan 1789 with parents Richard and Margaret).

According to family search John and Jane have other children born Bideford ; Jenny 7th jan 1785, John 20th Mar 1791 and Virtue 24th Nov 1793.

Can't help wondering if Lionel Bridgman, who was also with the Mansfields as their nephew in 1891, was Charles Lindley's brother or just a cousin.

He too became an ironmonger like his uncle, and so did his son.

Census 1911 says two children born to the marriage, two still living. Yet Christine is not with the family in 1901, nor can I find a birth for her in the names Bridgman.
