Thank you so much for your help and the website. It's making more sense now. Death cert has to be incorrect. |

All info unearthed to date shows William's parents to be William Grosert (or variants) and Euphemia, nee White, who was the grandmother of Emily White. |

This is so helpful, I am so grateful. I am trying to establish William's parents. Death record here in Australia says Euphenia Grosert and Emily White. It can't be right. There are a few Williams which makes me confused. |

I didn't know any of that when I first posted. The information I have I only found out yesterday. I am sorry if I have caused any upset. The information you have given me makes more sense than what I have been told. I can't see how he was married to Emily White, but that is what is on his death certificate and all family members (children) of William are deceased. All died in thier 40's. |

William came to Australia after marrying Elsie Annie woods. On his death certificate his parents are stated as euphenia grosert and Emily white. This can't be correct. Immediately family know nothing about the grandparents as they died when grandchildren were very small. I have ordered Williams birth certificate and marriage certificate hoping they will give me more information. I have his birth as 15 July 1886 but nothing to confirm this. The marriage is the only thing I am certain about. |

The 1911 census has William and Euphemia married 35 years (so around 1875/1876). |

The 1881 census (perhaps Emily White could be the daughter of Maggie A. Grosert):- |

I see Reggie's found another marriage possibility (more likely than the Scottish one I posted), but they still couldn't have become grandparents after 10 years of marriage. |
