Really sorry to be a pain but a big question came to me in the night. I got that my dad is Charles Durant Welch 19879Stockport). I know his mum died in childbirth so he was adopted by his uncle Charles Durant (Burton 1871) & his wife Lillian Winiferd (Ashton, Cardiff 1896).They moved here to Llanelly with my dad & their children who I knew well. My dad is on the census first as their NEPHEW AND LATER AS THEIR ADOPTED SON. I had originally thought that my dad was Lillian's sister's child but after doing my tree i found out that she was originally Ashton so I then thought that he was Charles (1887) sister's child who died in childbirth and would originally have been a durant hench my dad, me ect being a Durant. Again I thought that she might have married a Welch before having my dad hench his name Charles Durant Welch. It seemed at first likely to me that as my dad was born in stockport that his dad was Alfred Welch (1958) who married Margaret Ann Durant in 1896 in Stockport and who died in 1897 (childbirth??) it all fitted nicely untill my question, who is Margaret Ann & how is she related to the Durants from Burton? I can not find a sister nammed Margaret Ann for Charles Durant (Burton 1871) so how are they related & how did my dad end up with his stepdad? :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S |
