I think the Eva Bevan that married Wilfred Robert Rogers was also born in Bedwelty but mmn is Parsons (not Young)
And she was the one born in 1915, so not "my" Eva.

I think we have cleared Edith Mabel's life and family...trying to find Eva Bevan in 1911 and then after 1926 when she inherited Charles' estate. She literally appears to disappear. Believe her birth was in July 1880. The date in the school record is wrong..the free nd reg and baptism are correct.

You never give up do you ;-) Just re-registered on here today, and the first thing I find is your thread. Good to see you're still keeping busy.
For what it's worth I think the 1911 census posted by Choccy is a distinct possibility, also the christening posted earlier looks a likely contender even though it doesn't correspond to the school birth date. Looks like dad registered her in school, and they never remember dates (my ex actually texted me a few months ago to check our son's birth date - but say no more he'd already missed it!)
I haven't yet subscribed to other sites yet - want to see how the mobile broadband holds out as we still can't get a phone line here, but I'll watch your thread with interest.

Flip - Hi!
Keeps me busy :-)
Yes I like the 1911 census. It fits with the 1901 census that I had already "assumed". It's worth resurrecting threads every now and then...this time I found out quite what a blackguard Charles was! I think the only way I am going to find more is if they ever release the 1921 census. I am as sure as I can be that Eva and Charles would have been living at 34 Constance Street.
But where she went after Charles died I know not. I can't find a marriage or a death.
Chris is right - it's been too long!
2016 has been an eventful year. My dad died in April - 16 weeks ago today. So I have been busy clearing out the house. And two weeks on Friday, I get to be Mother of the Bride when my younger daughter marries.
Christopher's family are very interesting :-) with a name change!
