Caroline Peters b 27/8/1826 inBethnal Green, bap 7/9/1826 in St Leonards, B Green.

She married John Davis b 1830 Westerham Kent, on 2/2/1851 in St Peters Islington.

I have not yet found them in the 1851 census.

In 1861 They have 5 children and are living in Hackney:

By 1871 they have added:

Constance 6 (Norwood)

Clara W 1(Brixton)

They are living in Deptford

In 1881 they have moved to Brighton where John (age mistranscribed as 36) is a solicitor.
Caroline (mother) has vanished, as have all children before Constance.
There is a new wife Esther E aged 36 and more children:
Nathaniel G 8 (Peckham)
Blanche 7 (Brixton)
Beatrice M 2 (Peckham)

I can't find any of the above mentioned people after 1881.

Can't find births for the later children in the relevant areas. I did think I had Nathaniel b 1873 in Brighton but he belongs to another family.

No deaths, no marriages for the children and no marriage for a John Davis/Esther????

There is a website on ancestry that lists all these children and a marriage for Edward Arthur but this is wrong - Edwards marriage certificate has a different father...

Haven't found any of them beyond 1881 that you posted. What marriage do YOU have for Edward Arthur?

I don't have any marriages for any of them...the one I found in someone else's tree on ancestry is disproved by looking at the marriage cert - wrong father (name and occupation)

It's odd that half the children vanish between 1871 and 81 and the rest vanish after 81 - as do the parents
