so he is calling her Jennie and is quite a bit older than her .

Have you looked for marriages for the children .the certs may say whether he was deceased at the time of the marriage

How do you know where they lived?? if you have some dates then it may give a timeline to look for his death

Have you considered the death registration that Susan posted on your last thread?
