This info also - from cwgc site:
BREWER, JOHN RICHARD GOODWIN Rank:Seaman Cook Service No:LT/JX 165972 Date of Death:20/02/1940 Regiment/Service: Royal Naval Patrol Service H.M. Trawler Fifeshire. Panel ReferencePanel 4, Column 2. MemorialLOWESTOFT NAVAL MEMORIAL Additional Information:
LOWESTOFT NAVAL MEMORIAL Country:United Kingdom Locality:Suffolk Identified Casualties:2397 See casualty records Location at Google Maps Location Information The Naval Memorial is located to the north of the town alongside the A12 Yarmouth Road, approximately one mile north of the harbour.
The memorial is in a prominent position within a local authority gardens, known as Bellevue Park. The park is on the top of the cliffs and the memorial itself is on the edge of the cliff so providing an unobscured view of the foreshore and sea.
Commemorating almost 2,400 men of the Royal Naval Patrol Services who have no grave but the sea, the memorial consists of a fluted column rising from a circular base 12 metres in diameter surmounted by a bronze ship device (Lymphad), the uppermost point of which is over 15 metres from the ground level. Around the circular base are arranged bronze panels that bear the names. The panels are set in recesses and protected from the weather by a cornice.
A Portland stone panel at the front of the Memorial, flanked on either side by the Naval Crown with wreath and foul anchor, faces towards the sea.
Visiting Information Car parking in the area is restricted and it is best to park in North Parade and enter Bellevue Park by way of the footbridge.
A copy of the Memorial Register is held at The Royal Naval Patrol Service Museum which is located a short distance from the memorial itself.
Another copy of the Memorial Register is kept at the Town Hall reception and is available to view during office hours: 09:00 to 16:30 Mondays to Fridays (closed on Bank Holidays).
Historical Information The Depot for the Royal Naval Patrol Service, developed from the pre-war Royal Naval Reserve Trawler Section was at Lowestoft during the 1939-1945 War. At the outset of the war the men of this service were mainly the fishermen of the requisitioned trawlers and drifters used on patrol work, but later it included men from all walks of life and various types of small craft. In the spring of 1944 the Royal Naval Patrol Service reached its maximum strength of some 57,000.
Between 1942 and 1946 new construction ships and craft manned by the Service totalled 1,637, among them minesweepers of various kinds, corvettes, fuel carriers, motor launches and naval seaplane tenders. Their objective was to maintain wartime patrols and safeguard the coasts of Britain. Lowestoft was chosen as the site for the Memorial to those men of the Royal Naval Patrol Service who have no other grave than the sea.

These are all 'possible' births from FreeBMD site.
Births Sep 1911 BREWER William H Morris Sculcoates 9d 288
Births Mar 1914 BREWER George W Morris Sculcoates 9d 278 *** BREWER Leslie Morris Sculcoates 9d 277 ***
Births Jun 1915 BREWER George E Morris Sculcoates 9d 309
Births Dec 1919 Brewer Lewis S Morris Sculcoates 9d 309
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is 'possible' that the two in 1914 were twins - Twins will normally be recorded on the same page + reference number and these are not, but they are on consecutive pages so one may have been the last entry and the next at the top of the following page?
However, it DOES lead us to beware though because if they were not twins it means that there was another Brewer/Morris couple having children in the same area around the same time so the children may not necessarily be the ones you want.
What else do you need to know?
Please keep any further questions on this family to this same thread so as to avoid duplication of research.
Thanks,
Dea x

George,
I am still working on this but have a slight 'quandry' !! :-(
I have found a PERFECT candidate for your' John's father!
I have followed him backwards and forwards and everything seems to fit BUT, his middle name is ' GOODRIDGE'.
I will come back with all the details if I can find some 'proof', but I DO think it is him......... SO frustrating !!! :-(

What you REALLY need is a copy of that marriage cert for John and Susan to see if his father is given as 'William', a fisherman, then all will link up beautifully.
